Obituary

Now that Toronto have moved to a “Lock Down”, public visitations will allow a maximum of 10 people in the funeral home. All attendees must be scheduled by appointment only. Scheduling will be arranged through the immediate family. Unfortunately, cycling of guests, and in and out privileges are not allowed.

We would kindly remind all guests who are coming to pay their respects, to always remember to practice physical distancing and to avoid all physical contact.

Please note that it is now mandatory by the Government of Ontario that all family and friends attending any type of funeral service, must be wearing a facial covering.

On the day of the funeral, attendees must be scheduled. We would request that only the most immediate family members join us at the Funeral Home.

My sincere sympathy towards the Smith Family during this difficult time. My family and I are in complete shock and we are having a hard time accepting this. My mother and father affectionately called Rollingford: "Smith" or in other words "Smit." So in turn, I knew him nothing more than his name “Smit.” When I was younger, Joyce and Smit visited our home often and my family visited theirs too. I remember Smit's laugh and smile - just like it was yesterday. I also remember the many jam sessions he would have with my father. Smit would play bass guitar while my dad would play his electric guitar. Or there would be times when Smit would come by simply to watch hockey with my dad or just chat over some drinks….these are memories, I will cherish forever.

My heart hurts as I try to comprehend the sudden passing of my God Father.

RIP Smit and my thoughts and prayers are with the Smith Family during their time of grief.

God bless you all.

My condolences to the Smith’s family, especially Sis Smith. Today we lost an apostolic Stalwart. I will miss his favourite sayings: “ The Blood of Jesus .” He was like an Angel wrapped in human flesh. He was alway a pleasure to see on Sundays. He always had a smile on his face. He was always contributing to the many functions we had at church. Though he is gone , but we take comfort in know he is at a better place. He will not experience anymore sickness or pain in his body. God saw that he was tired so he too him home. This world is not our home, but we’re passing through. Sleep well Min Smith! May your soul Rest In Peace 😭❤️
