Obituary for Kenneth Wilson

Kenneth Wilson
Wilson, Kenneth Douglas –
On November 25, 2017, Ken passed away peacefully at the age of 60 at Mackenzie Health surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Ken’s life was lived to the fullest as he lived it with vigor and zeal. He always managed to put the needs of others first. He was a devoted husband to Catherine Wilson (nee Scarpino) loving father to Catherine, James, Lauren, Patrick, Wesley and adoring grandfather (Pops) to Madison. Deeply loved by parents Douglas A. Wilson and Beatrice E. Wilson. Inspiring to brothers Rick (Brenda), Don (the late Yvonne), Doug (Kelly), John (Kathy), and sister Lori.
Ken was dedicated and passionate in everything he did. He worked hard and played hard and was most comfortable in wearing his jeans and a t-shirt with a guitar in hand. Ken served loyally at Maple Community Church with a deep sense of commitment and devotion for more than 15 years. Ken passed away as he lived, with stoic strength and dignity. He lived life to the fullest and will continue to be an inspiration for his courage and determination.
Thank you to everyone who supported his life journey. He was our hero. A special thanks to the quality of care Ken received at Mackenzie Health in the Palliative Care unit. We are deeply indebted to the staff who cared so tenderly for Ken. Ken, indeed, left his imprint on this world and he will be greatly missed.
