Obituary for Rita Salituro

Rita Salituro (nee Panza) peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the age of 88. She is reunited in heaven with her loving husband Rosario, and beloved son Giuseppe 'Joe'. Cherished by her dear daughter Carmela (Anthony), Rita was a proud and loving nonna to Ross, David, Joseph, Francesco, and Mariah. She will be forever missed by her sisters Emilia, Anna, Rosaria and greeted in heaven by her parents and siblings Eugenio, Carmela, Luigi, Lorenzo and Adelia.

Rita was a woman of faith and famous for her “I love you” after every conversation. Her home was a place of gatherings where one would enjoy a delicious meal and most importantly her love.

Rita was a gentle soul whose life revolved around the love of God, her family, and friends. A woman that loved with her whole heart. She taught us how to love unconditionally.

Rita will be deeply missed and forever remembered by family, relatives and friends.

Visitations will take place at the DeMarco Funeral Home - Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road, Woodbridge, On. Tel. 905-850-9500) on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-9pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (150 St. Francis Ave., Woodbridge, On.) on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 9:00am. An entombment will immediately follow at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., Toronto, On.) In honour of Rita, donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children.
