It is with great sadness that the family of Renato Di Nardo announce his passing on Friday, January 22nd, 2021, at the age of 73. Renato was born in the small town of Pizzoferrato in the region of Abruzzo, Italy on May 11, 1947 to Camillo Di Nardo and Gemma De Iuliis. He left his hometown on February 7th, 1967 for Toronto in the hopes of finding work and starting a new life. Slowly the rest of his family followed. He, like many before him, had hopes for a better life here. He started working odd jobs to start but was then happy to find a job in his field as a lathe worker at Massey Furgeson. Unfortunately, his battle with his mental illness did not allow him to fulfill his dreams quite the way he wanted to which caused him great sadness. He did not have any children of his own but was blessed with 12 nieces and nephews and 15 grandnieces and nephews that filled his heart with much joy. There was not anything that he would not do for them. His heart was always in the right place and the love he had for his family and very close friends was unbounding. He will be greatly missed by his sisters Loana, Nicoletta, Marina and Aurora and his brother Luciano and will forever be remembered by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. May he find peace in his new resting place. Until we meet again…
