Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully April 1st, 2023. Nina Elias Mavlian was born September 4th, 1930 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. From Brazil, she went to Beirut, Lebanon, where she met and married her husband Leon Mavlian.
Mom was the master chef in the family who loved her sweets and especially loved her coffee. She also loved telenovelas and enjoyed crocheting. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son George (Sally), daughter Eliana (George), grandchildren Leon & Marcus Mavlian, Jenny (Dany), Nicolas (Kristine), Leon (Terri) and great grandchildren.
Visitations will take place at the DeMarco Funeral Home (Woodbridge Chapel) (8003 Weston Road, Woodbridge, Ontario, Tel-905-850-9500) on Tuesday April 11, 2023 from 5-9pm. The Funeral Service will be celebrated the following day on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at the DeMarco Funeral Home (Woodbridge Chapel) (8003 Weston Road, Woodbridge, Ontario) at 1pm. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 Highway #27, Woodbridge, Ontario).
A reception will follow in the Springhill Suites Vaughan at 6pm to join the family in celebrating the life of Nina Mavlian.
If desired, donations may be made to The Hospital For Sick Children.
