Obituary for Miroslaw Pietka

God called Miroslaw peacefully on May 15, 2022 at the age of 69. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of over 40 years, Krystyna. He was a proud ‘tata’ to his dear children Paulina (Greg) and Kamila (Peter), cherished ‘dziadek’ to Luka, Niko and Kaia, and a loving brother to Ewa (Adam). Reunited in Heaven with his parents Aniela and Henryk.
Deeply devoted to his faith and his family, building a strong family foundation was his greatest accomplishment. Miroslaw was born in Gdansk, Poland on November 2, 1952 and immigrated to Canada in the early 1990’s in search of a better future for his family. He was a hard-working man who took pleasure in simple things in life. Miroslaw loved spending time with his family, but most of all with his grandchildren. Dziadzia’s favourite activities were driving Luka and Niko to school and attending their sporting events. Most recently, he was overjoyed with the arrival of his granddaughter Kaia and thrilled he got to meet her.
A man of his word, punctual and reliable, he will be remembered for his willingness to help others, a generous heart, and a compassionate soul. He brought joy and laughter to all the lives he touched.
Miroslaw will be dearly missed by all of his family, friends, and relatives. Our hearts will forever be filled with memories of him. We are sincerely grateful to the many friends who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss.
