Obituary for Mary Theresa Melnik

It is with loving but heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Mary Melnik née DePippo, at the age of 94. She was predecessed by her parents Valentino & Louisa DePippo (whom she personally cared for in her golden years); her husband Phil and her partner Natalino; her brother Joe & his wife Lydia; her daughter in law Susan (Rick); and many aunts & uncles, whom she adored. Mary’s incredible presence will be sorrowfully missed by her loving sons Rick, and Paul & his wife Josie; her adoring granddaughters, Christine & her husband Brian, Trisha & her boyfriend Andrew, & Sara; and her great granddaughter Mackenzie. She was a caring and loving mother & grandmother to her family, and will be fondly remembered by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She lived an active lifestyle and her interests included cooking, gardening, sewing, bowling, driving, dancing, swimming, and enjoying a delicious meal with loved ones. She worked at various places during her career, including the CIBC, Worthington Pump and Dresser Pump. She retired in 1992 at the age of 63 and lived a full life. For the last 5 years, she had been living comfortably at Revera Long Term Care. Mary’s grace & kindness will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.

In honour of her memory, donations may be made to Etobicoke General Hospital, whose staff cared for her with the same love as her family & friends.

From the moment you enter the funeral home, our highly trained and compassionate staff will be waiting to greet and guide you throughout the duration of your visit. We are here to serve our community in all their needs during this time of saying ‘goodbye’.

As our funeral home and community continue to stand together, the family would like to thank you for your support during their time of sorrow.
