Obituary for Luigi D'Arsie

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Luigi D’Arsie on the 27th of December at Humber River Hospital eight days before his 94th birthday. Born in Vittorio Veneto, Italy January 4th 1929, Luigi was pre-deceased by parents Gaetano and Luigia (nee Peruzza). He leaves behind his loving wife Rosa (nee Mandatori), brother in law Armando, sons David (Lorena) and Victor (Tracey Reid), grandchildren Louis, Thomas, Sister Lilia Consolata (Rachel), Annie, Finn, Steven, Bridgette, Euan, Alistair and Cormac as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Although he worked most of his life as an auto mechanic (having his own business for many years), his true passion was working with wood. From making his own boat in the ‘50s, to (after retirement) making everything from exotic wood pens to dining tables and chairs to an armoire for his family. Of course, family was most important. He would do anything for his children or his grandchildren who brought him such joy. He was loved and he will be missed.

From the moment you and your family enter the Funeral Home, our highly trained staff members will be in our foyer to greet and assist you and your family’s visit.
