Obituary for Luciana Fiorini
God welcomed a beautiful angel, Luciana Fiorini at the age of 88, into the gates of Heaven
on January 17, 2023. Luciana was born in Veroli, Frosinone, Italy on September 3, 1934.
She lived in Veroli surrounded by family and friends and married her loving husband
Umberto on January 24, 1959. She was blessed with a beautiful daughter Antonella the very
same year and she then immigrated to Canada with her loving husband and daughter in
1965. She celebrated her life in North York where she was also blessed with a loving son
Alfredo.
She worked tirelessly providing care and support in a long term facility, treating all patients
in her care with love, support, generosity and compassion that she has always and
consistently shown to everyone who was blessed to have known her.
In addition to being a proud mother to Antonella and Alfredo, she was a cherished Nonna
to Melissa, Daniel, Matthew, Adam, and Victoria and a loving great-grandmother to Fabian,
Vienna and Gabriella.
She was an exemplar, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend who
always and consistently put others before herself. She relentlessly cared for and loved
everyone around her and lived for the happiness and wellbeing of all others. She will be
deeply missed and held dear in the hearts of all her family and friends.
Visitation will take place at DeMarco Funeral Home (Keele Chapel – 3725 Keele Street,
Toronto, ON. 416.636.7027) on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm and
6:00pm to 9:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Wilfrid’s Roman Catholic
Church (1675 Finch Avenue West, North York, ON.) on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 12:30pm
