Obituary for Joyce Edghill
JOYCE CECILIA EDGHILL
In the spirit of Thanksgiving for a life well spent, we announce the passing of our dear mother, Joyce Cecilia Edghill, who celebrated her 93rd birthday on June 22, 2020. She transitioned into eternity peacefully in Toronto, on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Joyce was wife to the late Clayton Edghill, cherished mother of Hector and Shirley. She is fondly remembered by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, many great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, God daughter, son-in-law and her church family (Downsview Seventh-day Adventist Church). She was predeceased by her parents Randolph and Marion Jones of Guyana, also siblings Hector, Sheila, Julie, and Norma. Sister Edghill, as she was affectionately called, was a rich blessing to the many persons whom she met and she will be sorely missed. Sleep well Sister Edghill, you have earned your rest.
Now that Toronto has moved to a “Lock Down”, visitations will allow a maximum of 10 people in attendance within the funeral home. Unfortunately, cycling of guests, and in and out privileges are not allowed. Please reserve your visiting time by using the RSVP button below.
We would kindly remind all guests who are coming to pay their respects, to always remember to practice physical distancing and to avoid all physical contact.
Please note that it is now mandatory by the Government of Ontario that all family and friends attending any type of funeral service, must be wearing a facial covering.
On the day of the funeral, attendees must be scheduled to a maximum of 9 plus the clergy. We would request that only the most immediate family members join us at the Funeral Home.
