Herbert Eugene Kenny, 90, passed away on April 28th, 2020 at his Long-Term Care home in Toronto Ontario. He was born November 27th, 29129 in Halifax Nova Scotia.
As a young man, Herb served in the Royal Canadian Air Force, a time in his life he reflected very fondly upon. After his marriage he moved to Newfoundland where he worked as a surveyor and construction working building some of the first highways in the Province. In the late 60s, he moved to Toronto where he lent his hand to various trades until finally, he followed in his father's footsteps and worked as a Taxi driver in Simcoe County.
Herb is survived by his six children, Terrence (Brampton); Patrick (Brampton); Ann (Paul) Newfoundland; Herbert Timothy (Diane) Edmonton; Richard (Sheila) Brampton; Susan (Ed) Toronto and his sister Kathleen Mary Duggan (Eric) Halifax. He was preceded by his wife Rosa Ester (nee Walters); father James Bernard; Mother Kathleen Mary (nee Tough); brother Bernand William; sister Mary Noreen; and brother Roland Vincent.
In keeping with Herb's wishes a cremation will take place and his ashes returned to Newfoundland at a later date.
A special thank you to the care givers at Downsview Long Term Care for their care and support during this time he lived there.
