Obituary for Giuseppina Russo
God called Giuseppina (Josephine) Russo peacefully on December 11th, 2022 at the age of 90. She will be forever loved by her husband of 66 years, Antonio. Josephine was an adoring mother to Mike (Elizabeth) and Frank (Tracey), and a proud Nonna to Robertson and Emma. She will always be held dear in the hearts of her kind and supportive sisters and brothers.
Visitation for Josephine will be held at the DeMarco Funeral Home (Woodbridge Chapel, 8003 Weston Road, Woodbridge, Ontario) on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Church (72 Mansfield Ave., Toronto, Ontario) at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to immediately follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario).
Those wishing to contribute to her loving memory are encouraged to donate to their local churches and neighborhood food banks. Josephine always found great joy in nurturing children, and caring for all her loving friends and family.
