God called Joe home on April 28th, 2023 at the age of 78. Giuseppe will be missed immensely by his loving wife Rita with whom he built his home and life with for 52 years. Joe was a dedicated and doting father to Mary (John), and Christina (Trimaine). He was the best Nonno anyone could hope for to Alessia, Aiden, Gia, and Delano. Always a cherished brother and brother-in-law to Antonio (Caterina), Cathy (Tony), Vittoria, Frank (Anna), Rosina (Mario), Linda, and Lina. Joe’s nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends are sure to feel the absence of his warmth and humour. Giuseppe is now reunited in Heaven with his parents Pasquale and Maria, his nephew Sammy, and his brothers and brother-in-law Vincenzo, Salvatore, Domenic, and Gino.
A mentor to many, he had a magnetic personality. Giuseppe was admired, respected, and loved for his encouraging and generous spirit. He gave without hesitation and expected nothing in return. His famous stories always uplifted and made people laugh. Joe’s passion, love, and dedication to his family was only rivaled by his loyalty to Juventus Football Club.
Joe was a local “go-to” expert on soccer news. His opinions on the games and players were sought out and quoted in many sports newspapers, TV and radio sports casts, both in Italian and English. Joe’s contribution to soccer is documented in the book written by celebrity, Paolo Canciani, “Encyclopedia of Italian-Canadian Soccer Players.” See facebook link below:

Forever held dear in the hearts of everyone who knew him, he continued to spread joy and smiles up until his last moments with his favorite salutation “ Glu-Glu”.
