Obituary for Giuseppe Ieraci

Giuseppe Ieraci was born in Gioiosa Ionica RG, on November 5, 1925. He passed away on October 15, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rosa Ieraci (nee Agostino), and his children and their spouses, Savina Cacciatore (Cono), Adele Cacciatore (Dominic), Albina Chiofalo (Dominic) and Andre Ieraci (Dyan Roy).

Nonno will be missed by his grandchildren Andrew (Alison), Amanda (Dan), Steven (Jessica) Michael, Christina, Samantha, Daniel, Kyle, Salverio, James and Anthony.

Fiona and Milo, his great grandchildren will know their great grandfather from the stories we will tell them.

We will be sure to tell them about a man who loved being around people, both family and friends and loved the holidays because it meant family, food and wine.

He enjoyed storytelling, was curious about the world and loved discussions about history and politics.

He was passionate about gardening and making wine because everything tasted better when made from scratch.

Well into his 90s, he walked great distances in all kinds of weather and did so even as he lost most of his vision.

We will continue to tell stories of this incredible man and he will live on in all of us.

In memory of Giuseppe Ieraci, the family would appreciate donations made to a charity of your choice.
