Obituary for Gaetano Marchello
The heavens have gained a beautiful angel. Our beloved Gaetano passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the age of 93. He is now reunited with his parents Filippo and Maria Marchello, siblings Rosario, Annita, Giuseppe, Vincenzina, Rosaria, and Vito. He will be forever loved by his wife Filippa (Nee Spano). He was a loving Father to Phil (Melanie), Joe (Kathy), Mary (Frank Santello), Ross (Rosanna), and Anna (Vito Montesano). A very proud Nonno to Sara (Kyle Knupp), Kristen (Jordan Blair), Anna, Steven, Rachel, Michael, Joshua, Michael Giuseppe, Rosangela, Gaetano, Victoria, Francesco, Dante, Alessandro and Benedict and Bis Nonno to Ayla. Gaetano will be greatly missed by his sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, his many nieces and nephews and friends.
Gaetano was a devote Roman Catholic who devoted his life to helping the less fortunate. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St Vincent de Paul Society. Gaetano was a hardworking man, that would do and did anything for his family, friends and community.
Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home - Keele Chapel (3725 Keele Street, Toronto, Ontario, Tel: 416.636.7027) on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 6:00 - 9:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be taking place on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 10:00 am at St Jude’s Roman Catholic Church (3265 Weston Road, Toronto, Ontario). Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (7300 Hwy. #27, Woodbridge, Ontario).
