Colman Edgar Fraser was born in Guyana, South America, December 18, 1940. He raised his children with his first partner, Jeanette Atkinson, and later with Thelma Lall, and then with Florence Peterson. He worked as a carpenter and furniture maker. He enjoyed good food, a little drink, and time with friends.
Colman Fraser had seven children: the eldest, Donna, then Sandra (deceased); then Nadira, Vidya, and Anthony; and the youngest, Susannah and Troy. He was also step-father to Florence’s two older children, Penelope (Penny) and Colin (deceased). He has 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a next generation of great-great-grandchildren.
He lived an independent life until the end, checking himself into the hospital on December 14, 2022, where he passed away from this life after a heart attack.
A funeral will be held on December 29th at the DeMarco Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of his life at the Jamaican Canadian Association Centre, North York, Toronto.
