Obituary for Colin MacIsaac

Colin Francis MacIsaac passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the age of 86 at Baycrest Hospital, Toronto.
Colin was born in Giant’s Lake, NS. He was the second youngest of 9 children.
Colin moved to Toronto from Nova Scotia in his early twenties to pursue work opportunities. He worked for McNaughton & Brooks for over 30 years until his retirement.
He met his beloved wife, Arlene (another east coaster), in Toronto. They were married for 50 years until her passing in 2015. They lived a happy and fulfilling life in Toronto where they raised their 3 sons. Although Toronto was their home, Nova Scotia was never far from their heart. Colin saved up all of his vacation days so that he could take the family on their annual road trip back “home” to Giant’s Lake and Arlene’s hometown of Mill Cove. Summers in Giant’s Lake were an annual homecoming for all the family who had moved away.
After Arlene’s passing, Colin lived at Weston Garden’s Retirement. He enjoyed his time at Weston and the family is grateful to the staff and the care he received these past 5 years.
Colin is predeceased by his wife, Arlene. He is survived by his 3 sons, Greg (Nicole), Peter (Carla) and Brian (Cris). His memory will live on with his 4 grandchildren, Megan, Kyle, Isabella and Tyler. He is also survived by his cherished sister, Mary (David) from North Sydney, Cape Breton. Colin will also be sadly missed by his many friends, nephews and nieces. We thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes during Colin’s illness.

Now that the Toronto Region has moved to a “Lockdown Zone”, visitations will allow a maximum of 25 people in attendance. Please keep in mind that the Visitation and Funeral Service is by invitation only due to Government Restrictions as well as the Bereavement Authority of Ontario directives.

We would kindly remind all guests who are coming to pay their respects, to always remember to practice physical distancing and to avoid all physical contact.

Please note that it is now mandatory by the Government of Ontario that all family and friends attending any type of funeral service, must be wearing a facial covering.

As we continue to pray for an end to this horrible virus, the MacIsaac Family would like to thank you for your support during their time of sorrow.
