Obituary for Bernard Jenkins

Bernard (Bernie) Jenkins, 68, of Toronto, sadly passed away on August 16, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Bernie was born on June 17, 1955.
Bernie was reunited with his loving parents, Mabel and Robert and siblings, Roberta, Lawrence (Larry), Robert (Bobby), and his brother-in-law, Cliff.
He leaves behind his pride and joy, his daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Faris. He is survived by and will be lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by his brother Roger (Brenda), sister Janine (John) and sister-in-law, Aila.
Affectionately known as, ‘Uncle Bernie’, he had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews that loved his sense of humor and great taste in music. They loved him very much and the gravy at holiday dinners just won’t be the same.
Bernie had an amazing laugh and great sense of humor and he cared deeply about his family. He loved music and he was the beautiful melody in the rhythm of our lives. He will live on in the memories we will all cherish.
We thank the doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook Hospital for their incredible care.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take a moment to hug a loved one or spend some time with someone dear. Time waits for no one. Should you wish to make a donation, Sunnybrook or the Daily Bread Foodbank would be appreciated.
