Obituary for Anna Maria Rigo

Mrs. Anna Maria Rigo, age 92, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020, at her residence.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dino Rigo. She was the loving Mother of Lieta Manistre (John) and Norma Wright (Ron) and the caring Nonna of Anthony Manistre (Jessica), Victoria Yu (Charles) and Michael Wright.
Anna was born May 24, 1928 in Bannia, Italy. She immigrated with her infant daughter Lieta to Canada in 1956 and joined her husband in Fort William (Thunder Bay) Ontario. They retired to the Kitchener/Waterloo area in 1985 and made their final move to Vaughan in 2014. Anna was a homemaker who was always busy -- cooking, gardening, crafting, caring for the family pets and animals. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren spending time together, sharing a meal and making memories. She will be deeply missed by all.

Now that Toronto has moved to a “Lock Down”, visitations will allow a maximum of 10 people in attendance within the funeral home. All attendees must be scheduled by appointment only with the immediate family. Please contact the family to arrange guest viewing time. Unfortunately, cycling of guests, and in and out privileges are not allowed.

We would kindly remind all guests who are coming to pay their respects, to always remember to practice physical distancing and to avoid all physical contact.

Please note that it is now mandatory by the Government of Ontario that all family and friends attending any type of funeral service, must be wearing a facial covering.

On the day of the funeral, attendees must be scheduled to a maximum of 9 plus the clergy. We would request that only the most immediate family members join us at the Funeral Home.

As we continue to pray for an end to this horrible virus, the Rigo Family would like to thank you for your support during their time of sorrow.
