Obituary for Anna Maria Oddi

God called Anna Maria Oddi (nee Zeppieri) on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the age of 92. Anna Maria was born in Veroli, Frosinone, Italy on September 3, 1927. She married her loving husband, Rinaldo Oddi, in 1950 and immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1954.

Anna Maria is predeceased by her loving husband Rinaldo, their infant twins Orazio and Silvana, her siblings Amerina (Umberto), Remo (Elena), Emma (Battista), Ennio (Ofelia), Giacomo (Elvira), Lidia, Giuseppe (Carmela), and Francesca; as well as her brothers-in-law Armando (Giovanna), Eugenio, Alessandro, Italo, and sister-in-law Maria.

Anna Maria will always be cherished by her children Fiorella (Joe), Marisa, and Angelo (Rachele). She will be forever adored by her grandchildren Christine (Pat), Stephen, Mark (Colleen), Alyssa, and Christian; as well as her great grandchildren Olivia, Samuel, and Vanessa. Anna Maria will be held dear in the hearts of her brother Mario Zeppieri, her sisters-in-law Ines Padrone, Amelia Oddi, Maria Oddi and her brother-in-law Luigi Stirpe as well as many relatives and friends.

As the beloved matriarch of the family, Anna Maria was a beacon of light and pillar of strength. She delighted in cooking for her family and tending to her backyard garden. Anna Maria was strong in her faith; she was a devoted member of the St. Fidelis Catholic Church community including the St. Fidelis Golden Age Club.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020. Visitation will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home (Keele Chapel), 3725 Keele St., Toronto, ON from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Please note that there is a limit of 10 people allowed in the funeral home at one time due to rules that have been mandated by the Ontario Government. Due to the temporary closure of churches, a private blessing will be held with the immediate family members. Private entombment at Holy Cross cemetery will follow. A memorial service will be planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
